As we roll into February, we are well into the New Year. Our Focus this year will be to keep members engaged with their fitness goals – so many folks start out with the best intentions – but somewhere along the way they lose motivation.
Habits are automatic behaviors.. the behavioral patterns we adhere to are programmed into our neural pathways (our brains). Only through repetition, is it possible to develop- and maintain- new habits.
In order to develop good fitness habits:
- Start simple
- Set goals & write them down
- Identify the obstacles that will get in your way (eg. sugar cravings)
- Commit to a new way of life – and allow yourself plenty of time to reach
your goal - Hire a personal trainer (coach)- this commitment of time & money will keep you focused on training and diet
